1-on-1 Meditation Training
Everyone is different. Your foot is slightly different than anyone else's. Your inner life is yours. Each of us has many different gateways into meditation available to us. With 1-on-1 coaching, we can focus on your individuality and what works best for you in meditation. We can attune to your soul and find out what practices facilitate the union of body and soul. You can ask all your questions, and get coaching from someone who has been teaching meditation for more than 40 years.
We build your meditation practice around your life needs, the structure of your day, and your individual learning style. When your approach to meditation truly suits you, it feels like not doing a technique at all - you are just at home in yourself.
Meditative experience is natural, and you have probably had many meditative moments in your life - walking in nature, being in love, listening to music, smelling wonderful food, gazing at the horizon, petting an animal. These experiences happen spontaneously in the flow of life, and form the basis of a healthy meditation practice. When we impose a standard meditation technique upon ourselves, the effect on our life may be random, a mixture of some benefit and some long-range harm. Many people beginning a meditation practice struggle somewhat and develop bad habits that persist for a lifetime.
If you want to have a daily meditation practice that fits you and you look forward to, individual coaching can help tremendously. Meditation is infinitely customizable, and if you do not customize it to make it fit your life, then it will randomly be modified for you, to make you uncomfortable.
There is a little gap between meditating once in awhile, and having a deeply refreshing daily practice. There is a set of skills you need to have at your fingertips, in order to be able to meditate consistently.
If you are meditating every day and thriving from your practice, then you do not need individual coaching. Everyone changes, and there are times when our meditation practice needs to change also. Individual coaching can help us to fine-tune our practice.
One to One Sessions can be in person, on the phone, by Skype or other video conferencing technologies. To begin, send a note about your prior meditative experience, if any, and what you are wanting to experience. Parts of the sessions can be recorded if you want, and we will begin developing customized meditation practices that suit your inner and outer life. The cost is $500.
